Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about the report, pricing, and your account. For the full legal language, see our Terms and Privacy Policy.
What's in the daily report?
Each market day, the daily report is on the site by 8:00 AM ET, and the daily email arrives around 8:15 AM ET. The report has a market overview, sector heat, and three idea sections: Today's Trades (near-term setups with entries/targets/stops), Long-Term Investment (positions meant to be held), and Momentum Movers (stocks showing unusual strength). It also includes a daily lesson and, for subscribers, a personalized read on your own holdings.
What do "Today's Trades," "Long-Term Investment," and "Momentum Movers" mean?
They're the three idea buckets in the report, split by time horizon and conviction. Today's Trades are shorter-term setups with defined entries, targets, and stops. Long-Term Investment ideas are meant to be held through a longer cycle. Momentum Movers surface names showing notable price/volume strength that don't fit neatly into the other two — useful to watch, not necessarily to act on immediately.
How are the picks generated — is this just one AI model?
No single model makes the call. We run multiple AI models over the same market data and combine their output — an ensemble approach — rather than trusting one model's opinion. A model competition also runs continuously and publicly grades every model's picks, so you can see which approaches are actually performing, not just what we claim.
What is the Deep Dive?
The Deep Dive is a longer, more personalized narrative — a deeper analytical write-up built around your own portfolio and the current setups, available on the daily report and the weekly summary (see /week) for subscribers on the relevant tier.
What is the model competition?
It's a public, ongoing leaderboard where multiple AI models each make their own calls on the same setups, and every pick is graded against what actually happened in the market. It exists so our process is checkable, not just asserted — see the competition page for the live standings.
What is the weekly summary?
The weekly view (/week) rolls up the trading week: a recap of what happened, a Deep Dive narrative, and a look ahead to plan the coming week — for subscribers on the relevant tier.
What does it cost?
We currently offer one plan billed quarterly or annually (annual saves you money over paying quarterly). See the current pricing and any active founding-member offer on the subscribe page.
Why is there no monthly plan?
A daily report only proves itself over a full earnings cycle — one good month can be luck, a quarter shows the real hit rate. We bill by the quarter (or annually) so you're judging us on a real sample, and our track record is graded daily so you can check our work before you ever pay.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel anytime from your account's billing settings, which opens the Stripe-hosted Customer Portal — no need to email support, though we're happy to help if you'd rather.
What happens when I cancel?
You keep access through the end of your current billing period, then your subscription won't renew. No further charges after that.
What is your refund policy?
DRAFT — refund policy is still being finalized. Placeholder pending the Stripe runbook decision; check /terms for the current, authoritative wording, or contact support with questions.
Is this financial advice?
No. Smart Value Direct is informational and educational, not personalized investment, legal, or tax advice. Full disclaimer language lives in our Terms of Service (/terms) — that page is the single source of truth, so we link to it here rather than restate it.
Do you guarantee any of these picks will work out?
No. Investing involves risk — see our Terms (/terms) for the full picture.
How is my data used?
See our Privacy Policy (/privacy) for what we collect, how it's used, and your choices (including honoring Do-Not-Track). That page is the source of truth for privacy questions.
How do I sign in?
You can sign in with Google, X (Twitter), or email. If you sign in with X, we may ask you to confirm/bind an email address on first login so we can deliver your report.
I signed in with X — why is it asking me to add an email?
X doesn't always share a verified email with apps, and we need one to send your daily report. That one-time bind step links an email to your existing X-based account — it doesn't create a second account.
How do the free and premium tiers differ?
The free experience gives you the core daily report. Premium tiers unlock deeper personalization — things like the Deep Dive narrative tuned to your own holdings, the weekly summary, and the personal principle library — see the subscribe page for exactly what's included at each level.
